Results & Discussions

Presentation of Results

A. Title: EMERGENSLURPILLOW

Discussion of Results

The pillow case is made out of cotton fabric and contains a

first aid kit, wet wipes, mosquito net, on-the-go food, and a

blanket, which are all arranged accordingly. Each end of the

pillow is enclosed with zipper in order to bring out the items

when necessary. The researchers made sure that the most

necessities could be found inside their product.

A container is hung and tied on both ends of the neck

pillow. It is connected with a straw that is used for sipping the

water in it. It is detachable so that the user could still drink

from the container without carrying the entire object. The straw

is secured with a cap to prevent the water from spilling when it

is not in use.

Aside from comfort, the EMERGENSLURPILLOW helps the drivers

to be free from dehydration for they can easily get water from it

without the assistance of others. In that way, they can avoid

accidents due to undisturbed driving. They do not have to keep

their sight away from the road just to look for their water

bottles and use their other hand to hold it when they should be

using both of their hands on driving the steering wheel. It also

provides the basic necessities the travelers and campers needed

to survive a long adventure.

 The researchers have come up with the following findings and

results based on the Statements of the Problem on Chapter 1:

With the utilization of the neck pillow and a water

container, it will be a very big help to the drivers on the road.

It is normal for them to feel thirsty while driving which can

distract their focus that eventually leads to road accident.

To lessen such cases, the EMERGENSLURPILLOW provides much

convenience in satisfying their needs specifically with

hydrating. It also provides comfort and support to the drivers

through the help of the neck pillow. Meanwhile for the campers,

the EMERGENSLURPILLOW offers a wide range of capacity for their

things. It will be very handy and can save much space and time.

It also comes with a first aid kit that will be very useful once

an injury may happen while they camp.

The EMERGENSURPILLOW can decrease the occurrence of road

accidents. The urine bag that hangs outside the pillow would be

filled with water or any beverage that drivers may want. Once

they felt dehydrated, they can just sip through it. It will not

leak because of the cap in the straw. They can just sit back,

relax their neck with the pillow, and just focus on the road. By

the EMERGENSLURPILLOW, the risk of traffic accidents will

decrease because of the convenience and comfort it can give.

 Comfort and Safety. These two are the main convenience that

the EMERGENSLURPILLOW can bring to drivers, travelers, and

campers. The neck pillow is a cushion for the human head and

neck, which gives them support. The first aid that is available

can be a very helpful tool once an injury while driving,

traveling, camping may occur. Lastly, the compartment will give

the most convenience because it will save space and time

especially for some who prefer light baggage while traveling.

 Chapter V

Summary, Conclusions & Recommendations

This chapter presents the summary of the results and the

conclusion regarding the overall usefulness and innovation of the

EMERGENSLURPILLOW. This chapter also includes the recommendation

of the researchers for those who will investigate or formulate

studies related to this research.

Summary of Findings

The EMERGENSLURPILLOW is a device with its covering made

out of cotton fabric, enclosed with zippers in both end and

contains all the camping necessities such as blanket, food,

personal necessities, and a first aid kit. The water container is

tied and connected with a straw, a detachable one and is secured

with a cap to prevent the liquid from leaking.

The EMERGENSLURPILLOW will be a very big help to the drivers

on the road and will lessen such road accidents. Not only it is

convenient for them especially when hydrating but it also

provides comfort and support that they need. Being on the road

and driving a public utility vehicle can bring acute bone

complications, and the EMERGENSLURPILLOW is designed to prevent

these. It also allows space for storage of basic necessities for

travel or for camping that will likely save time and energy. The

things needed will be very accessible and do not require much

effort to get and use. In addition to that, the first aid kit

that can be found inside the pillow can be a very helpful tool

once there is an occurrence of emergency in the road or during

the camping period.

Conclusion

The EMERGENSLURPILLOW is a functional and advantageous

device to people who are constantly travelling or in transit. It

is effective when it comes to giving comfort for those drivers

and travelers who deal with tension in their neck and back area,

due to their fixed position while driving or commuting, and it is

also convenient, for the product allows space for storage.

Recommendations

The researchers recommend the following suggestions, in which

their results may further improve their project:

1. All materials used should be lightweight. Neck pillows are

made to lessen the pain in the shoulder.

2. Use a thicker and softer fabric for the pillow. The user

should not feel the formation of the objects in the pillow

as much as possible.

3. Get the measurement of neck’s user. Add an inch allowance to

make sure it is fitted around their neck yet not too tight.

4. Instead of using cloth for pillow case, use an elastic case

so that the product could still be used, by blowing it with

some air or pumping it with gas, even if all of the

materials are brought out.
