Answer​: No,because Teachers teach to inspire the students to keep going no matter what their
struggle is and rather than teaching on how to reconstruct the society,teachers mold the
students to become model citizens instead.
2. Is the model citizen of the essentialist the citizen who contributes to the re-building of
society?
Answer​: No,The one who shows mastery of basic skills and the one who lives by traditional
moral values is the model citizen.
3. Do the essentialist teachers give up teaching the basics if the students are not interested?
Answer​:No,They still teach.Essentialist teachers are more subject oriented than student
oriented.
4. Do the essentialist teachers frown on long academic calendar and core requirements?
Answer​: No, they need to master the requirements for basic skills that is why they need a long
academic calendar.

Progressivism

Answer​: No because they look at education as life.
