WHAT IS NEW

1. The different communication scenarios includes the family’s mood, reaction, expression,
response and coming up with the solution to the family’s problem using verbal
communication.
2. Each communication scenario develop because the family has a good communication
with each other that is a good foundation in creating a strong family and would be helpful
in improving their communication skills.
3. Yes a conflict arise in the story which is about losing the job of Mang Cardo, but it did
not affect their communication process instead it made stronger by helping each other on
how to solve the conflict. And yes, it was resolved by the encouragement and support of
Mang Cardo's family which gave the rest of the family a strength and positivity that made
them think they can solve this problem.

WHAT’S MORE
A.
Differences:
Linear model – Describes communication as a linear, one-way process in which a sender
intentionally transmits a message to a receiver. The sender communicates to the receiver. It is a
one way channel.
Transactional Model - Describes communication as a process in which communicators generate
social realities within social, relational, and cultural contexts.  There are two people
communicating to one another simultaneously.

Interactive Model - Describes communication as a process in which participants alternate

positions as sender and receiver and generate meaning by sending messages and receiving
feedback within physical and psychological contexts

Similarities: All three models adds to the understanding of the communication process.

For you, which is the most effective? Why?

For me the most effective is the most effective transactional model because this model is the
most general model of communication as even our daily interactions are instances of
transactional model communication. It becomes more efficient and effective when the
participants are of similar environment, know each other and share same social system. Each
person in the process reacts depending upon factors such as their background, experience,
attitudes, cultural beliefs and self-esteem. Additionally, proper choice of channel enhances the
efficiency and reliability of the communicated message.

to join in our bible study.
3. Excuse me Ma'am, you can take my sit because it's bad for a pregnant like you if you are
going to stand for long time in the bus.

What I Have Learned

1. Linear, Interactive, and Transactional Model
2. Models of communication simplify the process by providing a visual representation of
the various aspects of a communication encounter. The roles of sender and receiver in the
transaction model of communication differ significantly from the other models. Unlike
the interaction model, which suggests that participants alternate positions as sender and
receiver, the transaction model suggests that we are simultaneously senders and receivers.
On the other hand in linear model, the sender communicates to the receiver. It is a one
way channel.
3. Feedback is about listening actively, taking the time to analyze, and then thinking of the
best possible solution to perform better. It is important because it provides positive
criticism and allows to see what everyone can change to improve their focus and results.
It brings people together and creates a healthy communication flow.
4. Communication process is successful when both the person sending the message and the
person receiving it understand the key messages being put across. Additionally, effective
communication happens when the message conveyed by the sender is understood by the
receiver in exactly the same way as it was intended.
