Our Rufouz Hitek Reactor PFR (HTR) provides the optimal solution for tackling
problems relating to sensitivity of products to temperature levels. Processes
involving transfer of heat can be problematic if the products are particularly
sensitive to temperature. There are a number of products which, under the
influence of temperature, can change characteristics in an undesirable manner.
Such products are found particularly in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Agro, Food,
Adhesives and Plastic Industries. Such undesired secondary reaction may differ
from product to product. It could cause discoloration, change taste in food stuffs,
and can cause alterations to essential attributes of the product. The problem leads
to a resultant damage in the product quality. The problem requires a study of the
applied temperature and the time during which the product is under the influence
of the temperature. The process engineering characteristics are closely studied
before designing the HTR.

Our Rufouz Hitek Reactor comprises a combination of tubular heat exchangers
with static mixer (fixed mixing elements), specially designed and adapted for
specific applications.
We have models combining the two systems- the Tubular Heat Exchanger and the
Inline Industrial Mixer. This integrated equipment offers the advantages of both
systems- no moving parts and thus low maintenance cost, low energy
consumption and assured adaptation to wide ranges of temperature and pressure.
DESCRIPTION
A heat transfer fluid flows through the tubes. The mixing elements constitute the
active heat transfer surface. Heat transfer surfaces are so positioned that mixing &
heat transfer becomes complementary to each other. The geometry of heat
transfer is such that radial mixing is possible.
The High Heat transfer surface area per mixer– reactor unit volume are in the range
of 35 m2/m3 to 400 m2/m3 and due to high heat transfer coefficient brought about
due to high mixing efficient mixing results in high heat transfer per unit volume.
Pressure Drop:
Pressure drop values of 0.5 to 20 PSI are typical for normal operations and up to 30
– 50 PSI for viscous solutions.
