land on your website and their data will be collected, and the law states that

And I’m sure he’s good at it; however, this is a specialized requirement that
I’m sure your nephew has not spent much time researching and
implementing data protection plans and protocols. Am I right?
EU citizens don’t visit my website, I’m a local business
Are you so sure? Let me ask you this, do you have Google Analytics
installed on your site? It will tell you exactly who is visiting your site and I
guarantee you have citizens from EU member states browsing your offers
and sites. Even if you have just one person, that person could potentially cost
you thousands of dollars in fines. Its crazy, but that’s the nature of this law,
right?
I don't think we can afford it
It is extremely affordable and many fractions less than what a fine might be.
Let me ask you this, can you afford to pay a $5,000 or $10,000 or more fine
to the EU? I know I can’t. Is it worth the risk to ignore any potential
liability? My fees are less than you think, and we’ll get into that in a
