Task 1: After you’ve watched the clip, write down what you think of the bystander effect in general.
What do you think you would do in a similar situation? Don’t forget to describe the situation in
detail, as well as what factors might influence your behaviour. You can use your laptop or lined
paper.

Task 2: Then try to link the bystander effect with what we have been discussing about social
influence, especially (a) NSI and (b) Zimbardo’s SPE. You can use your laptop or lined paper.
