Stephanie Dickerson introduced
the Teacher of the Month, Sheri
Doolittle, a kindergarten teacher
from Camino Pablo School. Her
principal, Chris Reddam, couldn’t
attend the meeting because he
was teaching her class, but Steph
relayed his glowing comments of
Sheri’s worth as an exceptional
teacher, beloved by children and
parents. Sheri received $50 gift
cards from both Town Bakery and
Home Goods, along with a
certificate from Moraga Rotary.

President Brian led off with a
High Five because his daughter
got her drivers license and his
insurance bill has’t yet increased. .

Fives for Frank May’s expertise in
helping make his video about

zoom meeting from the ski slopes
at Heavenly Valley.

Chairman:
We have another Eagle Scout in
the troop! Congratulations to
Chongwoo Chang, for a
successful Eagle Board-of-Review
this past Sunday. Chongwoo’s
Eagle Project involved leading a
team of hard-workers who
refurbished a play-wall and netting
at the Canyon Elementary School
playground.
We look forward to celebrating
Chongwoo’s achievement at our
Spring Court of Honor in May
 system. The students have
adapted well to this.

~~PROGRAM~~
The program today was given by
Monica Williams and Stephan
Evans of the Contra Costa Music
Guild, a collective organization of
music teachers in the area which
has existed for many years. These
teachers have about 200 students
among them. These collective
offers ways to perform and to build
communities of people who might
want to pursue conducting,
improvisation, non-traditional
music, etc.
The Guild has been amazingly
effective during the Covid
lockdowns, where lessons and
other interactions are done on
Zoom. The teachers and students
have appreciated the introduction
of a certification program which is a
type of structured proficiency rating

The Guild’s goal is to provide
services to their community, and to
enrich their lives and encourage
their musical ability.

Frank May was the lucky Encore
player this week, but not lucky
enough to win $10, as he tried the
Erickson strategy and guessed the
Ace of Hearts, but was wrong. Go
figure.
