Resolution Numbered 329’ (Series of 2011) Brief Report

The project started on the Earth Day Celebration last 22 April of 2011. The project aims to
plant Billion Trees by the end of April 2021 fulfilling the time duration of this project. Now,
everyone such as LGU’s are required to participate on the said project in order to achieve the
objectives of this porgram. The Billion Trees is not only limited to literal trees but all kinds
trees, it may be ornamental or fruit bearing are examples of it. This will help the constituents and
residents of barangay to appreciate the effects of trees to our modern lives. It helps in
battling climate change, global warming, and other natural disasters that will greatly affect
the citizens of this country. It also contribute to the beautification of places and attract tourism
bringing a great change in the economy of different places.
For our barangay, it may be hard to participate on this project.
Firstly, most of the ground here in the barangay is occupied by its residents making it hard
to find an actual place to plant trees.
Second, proceeding with this project will only bring road obstruction penalties to our
barangay since there is a lot of vehicles passing through our area.
Third, there are no vacant spaces in the barangay.
If we still wish to participate in the project.
My suggestion is that we collaborate with other barangays who also do not have any space
to push through with the project. Specifically with the barangays of Irisan, Quezon Hill, and
Quirino Hill. Knowing that these barangays keep hold of water reservoirs that is essential in
the daily lives of the residents of this city.
