Code of Conduct

It is the responsibility of Olive Academy provide a safe and friendly teaching


environment where students are happy, secure and feel valued. All students,
teachers and other member of staff have the following rights:

 To be safe and happy.


 To be treated with respect.
 To teach, work, play and learn without interference.
 Responsibilities of Students

All students are expected to:

 Follow the school rules


 Endeavour to display a positive commitment to learning
 Respect the school environment and equipment
 Display socially and Islamically acceptable behaviour

School Rules
 Be punctual
 Aim for 100% attendance
 Be considerate and courteous to others
 Respect your own, others' and the school's property
 Be responsible for your own actions
 Demonstrate a sense of fair play
 Dress modestly, tidily, and adopt the school uniform
 Complete homework fully and on time

The following forms of behaviour are prohibited:

 Throwing sticks, stones and other dangerous objects


 Climbing on trees or school buildings
 Running in and around school buildings
 Being in school buildings without teacher supervision
 Leaving school grounds without permission
 Chewing gum
 Swearing, teasing or bullying
 Playing running games in designated quiet areas
 Purposely abusing/damaging school equipment and resources
 Stealing
 Lying, backbiting, slander, arguing and fighting
 Bringing games, electronic equipment (including mobile phones) or expensive
items into school – if you do, these may be confiscated.
