Ans: The dumping site has heavily affected the bio-diversity of the river and the
health of the locals as it releases bad smell and has contaminated water.

Ans: Nine tractors and 26 trolleys collect 30-40 tons of waste every day.
d. What measure has the municipality taken to try to reduce the amount of waste
and has it been effective? Why?
Ans: Sometimes the municipality lights fire to burn and reduce the waste, but it
seems ineffective to dispose 30-40 tons of waste every day.
e. How long has the agreement been signed with the ADB and why has the
recycling plant not been built?
Ans: The agreement has been signed since April, 2016. The recycling plant has not
been built yet even in February of 2020 because the locals of Patkhauli protested
against it.

Sub: Information about Bus Accident
Respected Sir,
As one of the police officers deployed under your command at Dhading District
Police headquarter, I am writing this letter to inform you about bus accident which
took place at 7 am at Baireni, Dhading today. A bus numbered Ba 2 Kha 2023,
heading from Bara to Kathamndu, belonging to Araniko Yatayat, plunged into the
Trishuli river in the morning today. The bus was carrying approximately 60
pilgrimages. According to the local witness, the bus was in high speed and it fell
into the river while overtaking another bus that was coming from the opposite side.
As the result, around 50 people have been killed. Only 10 people have been
rescued alive. The bus has been missing and a team of Nepal police is working on
rescue at the spot. The rescued passengers have been admitted at Dhading district
hospital and they are in critical heath. For 3 hours a team of Armed Police Force
has been working actively to search the missing bus and rescue the passengers.
I will keep on informing you after having intensive investigation on the case.
