Title: Development of a Cofee Bean Roaster with Time and Temperature Monitor

Project Description

The mini coffee bean roaster with time and temperature monitor is

intended to roast coffee beans into 5 various levels; it has a chaff collector that

collects the dried skin of coffee beans called chaff. The chamber is where coffee

beans are placed. Figure 63, it illustrates the actual front view of the project.

Project Capabilities and Limitations

Capabilities of the Project:

1. The device can roast coffee beans in 5 levels of roast (City Roast, City+,

Full City, Full City +, Vienna)

2. The device can roast coffee in batches ranging from 50g to 300g.

3. The prototype can roast manually or automatically.

4. The prototype allows the experimentation of mixing different coffee blends

that user can enjoy.

Limitations of the Project:

1. The Full French roast was not reached due to the heating capability of the

heater.

2. The chamber can hold 700g but the chamber can’t shuffle the coffee

beans properly.

3. Noisy during operation.
