Course Description This subject elaborates nursing communication to the patient. Learning process is undertaken through discourses, discussion and
practice. Learning process is done by study in class room, discussion, assignment and practice.
1. Students are able to use appropriate expressions regarding patient admission
2. Students are able to communicate in order to collect patient’s demographic data
3. Students are able to use vocabulary related to physical examination for nursing instructions.
4. Students are able to interview the patient by using simple past tense
5. Students are able to write a report of examination result in English.
6. Students are able to gain new vocabulary related to medical procedures by listening a recording
7. Students are able to explain a medical procedure in English
8. Students are able to write a result of diagnostic test in English
9. Students are able to present a report of diagnostic test in English
10. Students are able to gain new vocabulary related nursing problems through a sample of text
11. Students are able to write data analysis, subjective data, objective data, etiology, and problems in English
12. Students are able to understand attributes of planning by reading a sample of text in English
13. Students are able to write a nursing plan by using SMART in English
14. Students are able to give correct nursing orders in English
15. Students are able to comprehend a nursing intervention writing format through an example.
16. Students are able to write nursing intervention using NIC and NOC in English.
