3 Maintenance
3.1 General Guidelines
3.1.1 Maintenance of Station shall be performed in accordance with “Rules of
Operation of Customers’ Electrical Installations” approved by directive No. 6 dated 13.01.03 of the
Russian Ministry of Energy, “Intersectoral Rules on Occupational Safety (Safety Rules) for
Operation of Electrical Installations” POT PM-016-2001, RD 153-34.0-03.150-00, approved by
directive No.163 dated 27.12.2006 of the Russian Ministry of Energy and “Safety Regulations for
Oil and Gas Industry" PB 08-624-03 approved by Gosgortechnadzor of Russia.

3.2 Safety Measures

3.2.1 Inspection, cleaning and repair of the Station shall be performed only after full de-
energizing. Before starting of any works after de-energizing wait at least 15 minutes until
discharging of VSD DC current circuit and sine filter capacitor bank.
3.2.2 Maintenance and repair of the coolers shall be performed only after their de-energizing
and complete stop of rotating parts.

3.3 Maintenance Procedure

3.3.1 It is recommended to perform routine maintenance and inspections of the Station at
least every six months to maintain it in good work order.
Signature and Date

For this purpose the following actions shall be fulfilled:

- disconnect the power supply;
- open the doors of Station’s box and the doors of sections for cable connections on the back
panel of the box;
Duplicate. Inv. No.

- make sure that the power capacitors are de-energized;

- perform visual inspection of the Station’s box for any foreign materials;
- in case of revealing of dust and dirt, purge power elements, control units and structural
elements with the compressed air under the pressure of 580 psi to 870 psi (4 kgf/cm2 to 6 kgf/cm2).
Rep. Inv. No.

Pay especial attention to the radiator surface and cooling system screen;
- check condition and operation of door hinges and locks and grease wearing parts when
required;
