“Cultural differences should not separate us from each other, but
rather cultural diversity brings a collective strength that can benefit all
of humanity” by Robert Alan. This saying gives an impact in our society
especially the culture of the types of society. In this modern time we
intend to forget where our society started with this it’s very dominant
to study this in order to value our society’s history.
We have three types of society in this lesson – primitive, rural and
urban. Primitive is the society that’s least familiar in generation z, in
this society their culture is far different from today’s society. Their way
of living they go for fishing and haunt for food, as well as they build
their houses is very simple and others only sleep in the stone, their
clothing for man is just “bahag” and for woman is “tapis” and their
language also differ. In some of these cultures history and beliefs are
passed on through an oral tradition and may be the province of a
person or group especially trained for the purpose. Rural is also known
as province which culture gives importance to our society, their way of
living is peaceful and they harvest foods in their farm, they are the
source of raw materials that are production of economic activities,
their clothing is much more decent just like the traditional clothes, and
they have smart independent people. Urban is a society typical of
modern industrial civilization. Their way of living is more on business
and works, they have formal and informal clothing, and it is very a busy
place where crowded people are intact together.
All of this types of society doesn’t make us different but make
us value more about our history culture as well as in the current
culture. “Difference is of the essence of humanity. Difference is an
accident of birth and it should therefore never be the source of
hatred or conflict. The answer to difference is to respect it.
Therein lies a most fundamental principle of peace: respect
for diversity.” by John Hume.
