TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT OF WORKMEN (SPECIAL PROVISIONS)

ACT, No. 45 OF 1971

Order under Section 6D

BY virtue of the powers vested in me by Section 6D of the Termination of Employment of Workmen (Special Provisions) Act,
No. 45 of 1971 as amended by the Act, No. 12 of 2003, I, Baduarambe Kankanamge Prabhath Chandrakeerthi, Commissioner
of Labour, in consultation with the Minister assigned the subject of Labour, do by this Order, amend the Order made under
Section 6D of the aforesaid Act, and published in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 1384/7 dated March 15, 2005 relating to the
formula for the payment of compensation to a workman, set out in the Schedule thereto, by the substitution in paragraph (2),
for the words “Rupees One Million and Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand” of the words “Rupees Two Million Five Hundred
Thousand ”.
