Simula sa pinakauna naming pagsasama-sama hanggang sa kasalukuyan, tila naging isang

pangkaraniwang paglalakbay ang aming naisagawa. Ngunit kahit ganoon ay hindi rin ito naging
madali.

From the very beginning of our journey together until the present time, we grew with what we
are doing in everyday that we work together. But despite the cooperation within our journey, our
experiences is not just a walk in a park.

Sa panimula ng isang paglalakbay, naririyan ang paghahanda at pagkalap ng mga gamit na

marapat dalhin gayundin ang pag-aalam muna ng tamang mga direksyon upang hindi maligaw
ang magsisilbing taga-maneho. Nag-umpisa ang grupo namin sa preparasyon ng aming mga
sarili sa unang tungkulin na iniatas sa amin, ang pag-i-interbyu sa mga mamamayan ng
Barangay Don Luis noong ika-29 ng Setyembre 2017. Bagama’t mainit at malayu-layo ang
naging byahe at paglalakad namin upang maabot ang tunay na patutunguhan, hindi iyon naging
hadlang sa pagkakaroon ng katiting na kasiyahan. Ito ang nagsilbing unang hinto ng aming
paglalakbay.

From the start of our journey, it came with great preparation and collection of things that are
important and knowing the right direction to prevent the leader going astray. Our group started
with preparation within ourselves for the first responsibility that will be given to us, the interview
with the residents of Barangay Don Luis last 29th of September 2017. Although the travel is hot
and quite far and walking a few kilometers just to reach our destination, it did not become a
hindrance for us to enjoy our trip. This served as our first stop of our journey.

Sunod rito ay ang diskusyon ng aming magiging unang produkto ayon sa natipong mga
impormasyon mula sa interbyu. Sa totoo lamang, hindi namin inaasahan na paglikha ng
proyekto ang magiging batayan ng lahat ng aming gagawin sa buong taon; ang ikalawang hinto.

Next is the discussion of our first ever product regarding to the information gathered. To be
honest, we didn’t expect that the product would be the basis of most of the activities that we will
do for the whole school year, which leads us to our second stop in this journey.

Tagubilin ng nakatataas, ang grupo ay bumuo ng isang ulat pagsasalaysay para sa unang
markahan at panukalang proyekto naman sa ikalawa. Sinubok kami ng mga gawaing ito lalo na
sa pag-iisip kung paano mas mapapalawig ang mga ideya at mapauunlad ang naturang
produkto. Ikatlong hinto.

The group was assigned to make a narrative report for the first quarter and a project proposal
for the second quarter. These tasks challenged our skills as a group and as students, with our
critical thinking to how we can further expand and create more complex ideas for the product.
Third stop.
Katulad ng pagpapahinga kahit sa kakarampot na panahon lamang ng isang paglalakbay,
nagkaroon kami ng oras na magsaya at gugulin ang isang buong buwan sa mga nais naming
gawin noong sumapit ang ‘Christmas break’.

Throughout the busy semester, we did have a chance to lay low and have a break even for a
short period of time which is the given “Christmas break”

Gayunpaman, hindi maisasantabi ang isip na kailangan pa ring harapin ang realidad, ang
realidad na babalik kami, bubuksan nang muli ang makina at itutuloy na ang biyahe. Natapos
ang isang buwan at sunod na isinakatuparan ang pagpapakilala ng produkto sa mga guro at
paglikha ng 3D prototype. Dito namin napagtanto ang mga maaari naming baguhin at bigyan-
atensyon sa mismong produkto maging sa nalalapit na pagtatanghal sa barangay mula sa mga
mungkahi ng mga guro. Ika-apat na hinto.

Even throughout the break one cannot erase the fact of the devastating reality, the reality of
coming back, once again starting our engine and continuing with our journey. After a month, we
were then tasked to present a 3D prototype to our beloved teachers. Through this activity, we
realized the things that we can change and improve in our product for the upcoming barangay
presentation. Fourth stop.

Bago tuluyang iharap sa mga opisyal ng lugar, nagkaroon muna ng maliit na presentasyon sa
ilang mga propesyonal sa larangan ng agham at matematika. Dagdag pa roon ay ang pagtitipon
namin muli upang maghanda. Ito na nga at sunod nang inilahad ang aming proyektong GLOW
sa barangay noong ika-9 ng Mayo, 2018. Hindi kami ang nakatanggap ng pinakamataas na
marka ngunit sa hindi muli inaasahang pagkakataon ay kami ang napili ng barangay na
magpatupad ng proyekto sa kanilang komunidad. Kasabay ng pagtatapos ng unang taon sa
senior high school ay ang pagtatapos din ng aming unang yugto nang may halu-halong
emosyon, di mawari kung natatakot, natutuwa o naiinis dahil tingin namin ay dobleng pagod ang
kakaharapin namin sa sunod na taon. Ika-limang hinto.

Before we present it to the assigned place, we had a small presentation in front of professionals
specialising in mathematics and science. In addition the group gathered once again to prepare.
Then the most awaited event, we presented our project GLOW to the barangay last May 9,
2018. We didn’t receive the highest grade, but again the unexpected happened; we got chosen
by the barangay to implement our project in their community. The end of the first school year of
senior high school also ended the first chapter of our journey with mixed emotions, feeling fear,
happiness or anger because we are expecting that the efforts we exerted that year will double
the following year. Fifth stop.

Muli kaming tumigil upang magpuno muna ng gasolina dahil itutuloy pa rin ang byahe.
Panimulang bahagi pa lamang kami ng ikalawang yugto ay ramdam na agad namin ang pagod
at hirap. Pinangunahan na ang pinal na panukalang papel at nagplano para sa pagpopondo.
Malaki-laki ang pondong kinakailangan kung kaya’t wala pa mang isinasagawang pagpopondo
ang grupo ng mga mag-aaral sa STEM ay inumpisahan na namin ang paglikom ng laang-
gugulin mula sa buong seksyon. Ika-anim na hinto.
Nalalapit na ang katapusan ng kwentong ito ngunit hindi pa rito magtatapos ang lakbayin. Nang
makatipon na ng sapat na pera ay nakipagtapo na ang ilang miyembro sa itinuturing naming
tagapayo sa CAPSTONE at bumili ng mga materyales. Ikapitong hinto.
Oktubre 3, 2018, dito na muna magtatapos, niyari na ang aming prototipo. Ikawalong hinto.

We made our stop once again to fill in the gas tank for what seems like a never ending journey.
As we start with new tasks, the feeling of exhaustion immediately kicked in. Processing the final
project proposal we also started planning for our product funding. The amount needed for the
fund was pretty large so we decided to start off early compared to other STEM students. Sixth
stop.
The story of this CAPSTONE group is almost coming to an end, but the path we must walk upon
still goes on. Once the class gathered enough money we then seek the permission of the
CAPSTONE advisers and then bought the materials. Seventh stop. October 3, 2018, where we
momentarily stopped, the prototype is done. 8th stop.

Maraming pinagtunguhan; maraming mga hinto, ngunit iisa lamang ang nais makamtan, ang
marating ang dulo. Hindi ito naging madali lalo na’t sumasabay ang ibang trabaho; tinitiis ang
pagod at pinipilit magising sa kabila ng paglamon ng antok. Naririyan din ang hindi
pagkakaunawaan at pagtutulungan paminsan-minsan ngunit tila ba balewala ito kapag
nagkakatuwaan.

We have experienced; paths were taken, but we only have one goal in mind and that is to get to
the finish line. It was not easy, mostly because there are other requirements that went along as
we take this journey; enduring every pain and exhaustion, trying to stay awake even if sleep
seeks to overtake us. There are also the misunderstandings and problems with cooperation, but
all of these fades away with laughter and the fun within the process.
Mga biro ni Imee at ingay ni Conde. Mga tawa ni Darren at utos ni Karen. Mga kwela ni Diego at
tulalang mukha ni Alimagno. Mga banat ni Gian at biruan nina Rovi at Gozos.
Sa huli, kahit na pabago-bago ang naging disenyo ng aming produkto ay natapos na rin namin
ang prototipo. Nalinang ang aming mga kakayahan at umusbong ang isang samahan. Masaya
kaming balik-balikan ang mga ala-ala ng mga hinintuan ngunit kailangan pa rin naming
ipagpatuloy ang kwento.
Hanggang dito na lamang at abangan ang susunod.

Imee’s jokes, Conde’s noise. Darren’s laugh and Karen’s orders. Diego’s humor and Alimagno’s
clueless face. Gian’s punchlines and Rovi and Gozoz’ endless teasing. At the end, even if the
product’s design is always changing we finally finished the prototype. Our skills have improved
and the bond got stronger. It’s good to look back and smile at the memories that was made from
every stop in this journey, but the story must go on.

No looking back, only forward. To be continued.
