sure to obtain permission before asking questions about a person’s move.

questions as a starting point. You may also add your own questions. Make sure to
include the person’s name and contact info.

Interviewed my mom whose name is Soledad Rodriguez.

hollywood flordia.”
2. Describe differences between the two places.

it kinda looks like new york city. Hollywood Florida is more open. It's still more
city-like but it is more open than Buenos Aires.”
3. What was the main reason for your move?
“ The main reason i moved is to get a better life here in the united states.”
4. What were the largest costs of your move?
“ The largest cost of the move was about 2,000 dollars for just an apartment.”
5. What was the most challenging part of the move?
“ The most challenging part of the move is saying goodbye to my whole family.”
6. Was moving to your new area worth the costs and challenges? Explain why. “ Yes,
because now i have better job opportunities.”
7. What advice would you give someone making a similar move for similar reasons?
“If you want to move, be ready because it takes a lot of money just to move.”

3. Reflect on the interview. Answer the following questions in two detailed paragraphs
of at least three to five sentences:

● Which category from the lesson best describes his or her reasons to move?

● What would motivate you to move out of state?
● Was your interviewee an intracounty or intercounty mover?
● How would you prepare for a move?
The category from the lesson that best describes her reason to move is housing because
she wanted to live in a better place and work because she wanted to get a better job.
What would motivate me to move out of the country is if a natural disaster happened or
for a better education. My interviewee was a intercounty mover. The way i would
prepare for a move is to see how much money im going to spend and make extra so i
have more money to spend just in case. Then I would pack all my stuff and move to
wherever I am moving.
