Evidence and Commentary of Classroom Practice Part 1E

With the Kahoot that we made for social studies it was to help with academic language.
The Kahoot was designed to help the students with vocabulary by having questions that asked
about the definition of certain words that we learned from our unit. The Kahoot was helpful for
the students because they were able to see the vocabulary words and test their understanding of
the lesson and the main words. The unit we learned about was about life, liberty, and property
which can sometimes be a boring unit so the vocabulary words don’t get memorized as much.
The Kahoot was able to defeat that and created a fun atmosphere for the students to help learn
the vocabulary.
The Kahoot was very successful but I wish that I would have provided the students with a
graphic organizer. This would have allowed the students to do the Kahoot for their understanding
of the words but the graphic organizer could have been used as a study tool for those that needed
it. The graphic organizer could have created another academic language tool that would benefit
the students for a longer time than the Kahoot.
