4.0 INTRODUCTION
This supplement contains interfacing and user information relating to the optional DIN power distribution
kit 739739-00. This kit includes fuses, a 480VAC S-phase contactor and the schematic.
HIGH VOLTAGE IS PRESENT ON THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS FUSES AND THE
CONTACTOR AT ALL TIMES THAT THE GENERATOR IS CONNECTED TO LIVE
AC MAINS. TAKE ALL APPROPRIATE HIGH VOLTAGE PRECAUTIONS DURING
SERVICE / ADJUSTMENTS ON THESE COMPONENTS, AND WHEN WORKING
NEAR THESE COMPONENTS.
WHEN CONNECTING ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT TO THE DIN DISTRIBUTION
OUTPUT, IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INSTALLER TO VERIFY
COMPLIANCE TO ALL THE LOCAL REGULATORY STANDARDS FOR SAFETY,
EMC, AND HAZARD ANALYSIS/RISK ASSESSMENT OF THE FINAL SYSTEM
CONFIGURATION.
20 GENERAL
The components are mounted on a rail located to the right of the auxiliary transformer in the lower area of
the generator cabinet. The DIN power distribution contains a 3-phase contactor that sources a switched 3-
phase 480VAC up to 2.0 KVA dependant on the incoming line voltage. Refer to Figure 1

THEORY OF OPERATION
Refer to MD-0870 for interconnection details.
In the generator the 3-phase 208 or 400 or 480VAG fused line is routed directly to a secondary 3-phase
fuse assembly FSABC. The output of FSABC is connected to contactor K1, where the incoming line can
be switched. On the contactor, At+ and A2- connect to the room interface board in the upper generator
cabinet.
‘A2-to terminal TB7 (ground)
‘+ to terminal TB8 (+24 VDC)
‘Switching the generator ON supplies 24 VDC to energize K1., Switched 3-phase power is then available for
external 3-phase equipment connected to K1 at T1, T2, and T3,
Terminal blocks marked N (blue) are connected to the Neutral Terminal on the Power Input PWBA and
are available for external equipment neutral connections.
Terminal blocks marked PE (green/yellow) are connected to chassis ground and are available for external
equipment ground connections.
CONNECTIONS ON DIN POWER DISTRIBUTION
THE HIGH VOLTAGE 480VAC POWER IS PRESENT AT ALL TIMES THAT THE
GENERATOR IS CONNECTED TO LIVE AC MAINS. TAKE ALL APPROPRIATE HIGH
VOLTAGE PRECAUTIONS DURING SERVICE / ADJUSTMENTS ON THESE
COMPONENTS.
THE HIGH VOLTAGE 480VAC POWER ON THE LINE SIDE OF K1 IS PRESENT AT ALL
TIMES THAT THE GENERATOR IS CONNECTED TO LIVE AC MAINS. THE HIGH VOLTAGE
480VAC POWER ON THE SWITCHED SIDE OF K1 IS PRESENT ONLY WHEN THE
GENERATOR IS SWITCHED ON. TAKE ALL APPROPRIATE HIGH VOLTAGE
PRECAUTIONS DURING SERVICE / ADJUSTMENTS ON THESE COMPONENTS.
Connections for external 3-phase 480 VAC equipment are made to K1-T1, T2 & T3 on the DIN rail. The
switched loading available is 2.0kVA maximum. Refer to Figure 3.
‘The ground connections for all external equipment are made to terminal blocks marked PE on the DIN
rail. Refer to Figure 3
External equipment cables can be connected to the DIN rail components by routing them into the
generator cabinet by four recommended paths below.
41. Through the mains cable clamp.
2. Through the opening for the High Voltage cables.
3. Through the optional knockout above the mains cable clamp,
4. Through the opening in the floor near the mains cable clamp.
Route the cables on the cabinet floor between the Power Input Board panel & the HV Tank and continue
the routing around the panel as shown in Figure 2.

5.0 EMC COMPLIANCE
‘The generator complies to the IEC/EN 60601-1-2 standard. Connecting external equipment to the DIN
power distribution outputs will require recertification of EMC to the regulation standard.
FOR CONNECTING EXTERNAL EQUIPMENT TO THE DIN POWER DISTRIBUTION OUTPUT, IT IS
THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INSTALLER TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE TO THE IEC/EN 60601-1-2
STANDARD AT THE FINAL SYSTEM CONFIGURATION.
60 SPARES
The complete assembly includes the contactor, fuses, and the fuse holders shown in FIGURE 1. The
fuses supplying power to the 3-phase contactor is FSABC.
