Should Animal Testing Be Legal or Not?

Animal experimentation, arguably, has for many decades been an emotional topic with a lot of legal,
moral, and medical discussion and debate. What we should all wonder is does the payback from animal
experiments received by human beings warrant the inhumane and damage caused to animals? For
scientific purposes, billions of animals in the world are slaughtered in labs. Furthermore, during medical
research, cosmetic studies, as well as industrial research, most animals die. Animal experimentation is
thus, dangerous, inhumane, and barbaric, and should be forbidden.

Undoubtedly, if animal research is extraordinarily accurate, then why are there many incidents of
ineffective drug effects in the field? Some veterinary professionals contend that various medical
advancements are the result of animal experiments. The point is invalid, rendering it inappropriate to
use animals for experiments. Animal blood transfusions and blood types are not consistent with human
blood. Therefore, if the experiment succeeds in primates, it is not a certainty that it will succeed in
humans as well. Hence in medical research, we should minimize the use of primates.

Technology is more sophisticated in the 21st century; experiments can also be used rather than animals
to conduct the experiments. In carrying out the tests, it is too needless to use animals, but there is an
easy and the first way to carry it out. Human blood may be subject to research with the use of modern
technologies, leading to practical outcomes. Corrosive, for example, is a procedure conducted with a
protein membrane instead of the skin of animals. In comparison, it is easier to use technology than to
use animals for experimentation. In experimenting with house detergents, cosmetics and cleaning
materials, animals are used, which is not important in the medicine sector. Other means may be used to
assess such detergents. It is more the same as homicide in the human contest when animals die in the
experiment, making it legally unacceptable. In scientific testing, it is illegal to use millions of animals with
the ability to perceive and learn. It is meaningful Animals have emotions like human beings to realize it,
but we cannot expose animals in the laboratory cage to isolation, terror, and discomfort. Animal
research perhaps is certainly an incomplete science.

Many animal-passing medications and foods have been reported to have harmful effects or are not
successful in humans. Experimenting on wildlife, prolonging human suffering and discomfort, and
destroying money that should have been used in successful human experiments. Scientists and scholars
need to use other forms of experimentation to minimize the use of animals in experiments. These
alternate approaches include computational simulations, pharmacokinetics dependent on genetics,
individual volunteers, and other technical means. If the use of animals for research is highly important, it
should be directed by three rules, which are substitution, elimination, and refinement. Replacement
means using other means for non-animals, reductions involve using fewer animals to maximize
knowledge, and eventually refining means using strategies to minimize discomfort, pain, and anxiety.

Animal experiments should be specifically forbidden, and no animal should be exposed to cruelty,
torture, and suffering. Non-animal laboratory testing in the contemporary world is humane, less time-
consuming, less wasteful, and more precise. Even though progress is slowly coming, more experiments
will turn to advanced methods of playing with technology. Animal testing prohibits researchers from
collecting the necessary data, killing humans and animals at the same time, and causing damage.

Companies and other organizations must advocate for the welfare of animals and stop animal suffering.
