Why were the First Nations

against the Americans during the
American Revolution?
The First Nations often have battles over land with the Americans. Most of the
time the Americans win the battles because their weapons are more superior
than the ones the First Nations have. As a result of this, the First Nations sided
with the British in Revolutionary war. The First Nations wanted to stop the
Americans from disturbing their land.

The Americans use muskets during the

battles against the First Nations and
during the American Revolution.
First Nations tend to use weapons
like the bow and arrow for battles.
How effective do you think a bow
and arrow is compared to a
musket?
What happened to the First Nation lands when the Treaty
of Paris ll was signed?
When the Treaty of Paris ll was signed in 1783 the border between British North
America and the United States was set. The Crown excluded the First Nations from the
treaty. This means that there are no land restrictions for the First Nations. The First
Nations can live freely in both the United States and British North America. Also the
settlers that live on the lands of the First Nations cannot dictate the First Nations way of
life or try to take them out of the land they live in.

When the Treaty of Paris ll was signed the First

Nations have no land boundaries and can live
freely.
