Start to write your personal goals with this question,

“What are my achievements in the past?” “What are the values and principles I want to
cultivate?” “What difference can I make to my family, friends, workplace, community
and the world?” Consider what sustainable actions can you take to achieve your
mission and improve yourself? An example will be. “To wake up early and work out
every morning.”
My achievements in the past:
In the past, exactly 3 years ago, I manage to eliminate softdrinks from my diet and
lessen consuming junk foods for snacks. I also cope to go back cycling during my
vacant hours and consume water around 1.5L to 2L a day.

My values and principles:

I have this principle of finishing my tasks or things I decided to start even though it is
getting hard but I also know when to give up. I believe that there’s always a positive
thing lying around every day even in the darkest and loneliest days. I also have the
principle to always serve others first before myself but not to the extent of destroying
me. Forgiving is a must and that includes forgetting.

PERSONAL GOAL STATEMENT

Write your answers on the space provided for
The difference I can make to my family:
Make them aware of their habits and practices that is destroying their health holistically.
Not just eating unhealthy foods but also thinking negatively and making other people’s
opinion matter. I can show them the proper way to have personal hygiene and also to
be a model in exercising regularly. I can check their blood pressure from time to time
especially that my mother is hypertensive with a weak heart and my father being stress
from work with a sensitive condition in his ears.

The difference I can make to my friends:

I believe that people tend to trust and follow what they see so, to make a difference to
my friends, I will be a living testimony in showing the benefits and how comfortable life
could be when practicing healthy habits and a positive mind is in consistency. I’ll share
to them what I already did and inform them what I want to do to improve life and how
could they possibly apply it to themselves.

The difference I can make at the workplace:

Instead of a workplace, I’m thinking of making a difference to my fellow students and
even to my teachers if given a chance to interact with them about this topic. Specifically,
during studying hours, I’ll share to them how important sleep is to be able to remember
everything we’ve been studying and to remind them to rehydrate themselves every day,
and share to them the benefit of bringing your own water bottle to effectively achieve
water therapy.

The difference I can make to the community:

Most of the people from my small community and in the church knows I’m taking up BS
Nursing and some of them ask for pieces of advice. I can make a difference by giving
them free check of blood pressure and answer their questions as best as I could but if
I’m not sure, I always get back to them the next day around after looking it up twice from
the textbooks and my notes from lectures. I can also share to them my experience after
I decided to neglect drinking softdrinks and eating big amounts of junk foods, because it
might inspire them to improve their way of living even from the smallest step.

The Difference I can make to the world:

The world is such a large scope but as a nursing student trained in an institution of
envisioning their scholars to go out and make a difference into the world, I will put
excellence, resourcefulness, and creativity in my mind wherever God may place me in
this domain. I will share to them my experience of learning from the institution I came
from and show them the product through my actions and competitive health care I could
provide.

health in small consistent steps and to not give up in forming new healthy habits. I will
develop skills to enhance my brain function,
I will not forget to involve my family in this goal I am attaining in living a healthy
and happy life because I can’t consider myself a successful student from this institution
if my family isn’t practicing a healthy lifestyle. Also, I want to share my experience to my
friends and community as a whole to make a difference to the hearts of the people who
are also willing to change their lifestyle and accomplish a cheerful life.
I will be accountable with my actions and never rush into decisions I’ll make. I will
