Abstract

Hema of Johor Bahru, Malaysia, has decided to take over her mother’s business,
Blitz, in
light of the poor health conditions of the mother. It is a bakery that sells Indian
cookies and
cakes along with goody bags and gift sets. She does not have any prior knowledge of
how to
run a business. The bakery industry has been on the rise and has been a constant
favourite
bringing so much competition. For Blitz, Manggalam was the biggest competitor that
sold
similar products but at a higher price and no delivery service but still managing
to grab more
customers. Due to the lack of supervision of her mother and lack of capital the
company has
not been performing well. Blitz has lost its two prominent customers mainly because
two of
the employees quit the job. After all, the salaries weren’t being paid and the
workload was
too much to the point it was getting difficult to fulfill the orders. Getting loans
from banks
was going to be difficult as Blitz has not made any profits for the last year.
