ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Prof. Luci Magalit has been teaching Music Theory and Piano for more or less twenty years,
and Score Reading for the past four years. She holds a Bachelor of Music (summa cum laude)
and a Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the UP College of Music. Apart
from being a pianist, she is also a chorister, table tennis player, Bach-lover, and science
fiction fan. She was choir director at a local church in Quezon City for ten years, and is a
member of the Auit Vocal Chamber Ensemble.

HOUSE RULES
(1) Please submit your written work on time. Late submissions will disrupt the flow of
the whole course, since the graded performances (keyboard) are dependent on your
written work results. Nevertheless, the graded performances will be done as
scheduled with or without your written work submission.
(2) Consultations may be done through Messenger at any time, though replies
may vary in promptness.
(3) Each student must show up for his/her slot in all one-on-one activities. Failure to
show up (“absence”) without a valid excuse is a forfeiture of the day’s activity. An
alternative to an excused “absence” is submission of a video recording of the day’s
requirement. Guidelines for making video recordings will be posted on UVLê.
(4) In case of internet connectivity issues, please inform the Instructor via SMS. The
number will be posted in the group chat.
3
(5) Both student and Instructor must be appropriately-dressed for the lesson.
(6) The materials used for this course were put together solely for the 2nd semester of AY
2020-2021. Please do not share any of these materials with anyone who is not your
classmate.
