cultures? - Personally, it’s necessary for everyone to learn about other countries’ cultures nowadays. There are many benefits that it brings but the main one is that it enriches our knowledge. People can easily understand the foreigners’ life, break the language barrier,… For example, I have been to Japan once so before that, I spent time studying about there. Hence, when I went to there, I avoided misunderstanding and embarrassment. 2. How can we benefit from learning about other cultures? - For me, it benefits us in several ways. First, it is a chance to broaden our horizons. Second, we can enhance effective communication. For instance, in the past, I hardly talked to the foreigners but now, I can confidently have a conversation with the foreign strangers. 3. What do you think is the best way to learn about another culture? - As I see it, there are so many ways that help everyone to learn about other cultures but personally, the most effective way can be learning that country’s language. Whenever people are proficient in it, they are no longer afraid or shy but talk to the foreigners and then discover that culture. For example, we learn English and have a conversation with the English, we are able to know more about their culture precisely because they are the ones who are influenced perfectly. 4. Do you think that learning foreign languages can help us understand foreign cultures? - Yes, I suppose that. Well Knowing a language benefits us so much because we can easily master the information about one culture. For example, there are some you know websites or posts about a country’s culture so if we know that language, we may understand and then our learning other cultures’ process becomes more convenient. 5. Do you think it’s better to go overseas to study a foreign language or to study it in your hometown? - Well, for me, if we are affordable, we should go to the country that we want to learn its culture. Because we can see how people live, their customs, traditions clearly and we also can talk to the native to broaden our knowledge about that culture. For instance if we just read a post or something else about the culture, we just know it but if we see it by our own eyes, we can also feel it, touch it and then master it.
