ACTIVITY 4. Explain your understanding about the phrase “Man

is called to serve God”. Cite your principles in life about
the works of God in your life. Discuss your answer in 25
sentences.

We have been part of the history which we are all born

Christians who believes that there is religion and one God.
Religion remains important to our life because it is the
foundation of morals and beliefs that may help us to see and
determine what is right and wrong. No matter what our religion
is, what matters most is we are serving one God who is the
creator of all.

The first thing that comes in our mind when you heard or read
the phrase “to serve God” is responsibility. To serve God is
one important responsibility of every man who are born
Christian. When we choose to serve God, we must believe and
follow His teachings. We were created to serve God to spread
His teachings. In order to serve and glorify Him, we should
sacrifice our selves to help and serve our fellow man. Simple
act of kindness to others is one way to srve God. I believe
that Loving and respecting Him and your neighbors are the
true essence to serve God. And we should all be connected with
Him in order to have a peaceful, happier life, and a safer
community. Believing and having compassion is what we need and
it is the simplest thing that we can do and offer to Him. We
should be devoted to Him for He is the creator of heaven and
earth and all living and non-living creatures.

God loves you and offers a wonderful plan in your life. No

matter what challenges or problems may comes into our life
don’t give up. Just put God as the center of your life and
live with His words and God will do the rest. You should love
the lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul,with
all your mind and love one another that’s the true essence of
“Man is called to serve God.”

ACTIVITY 5: CASE STUDY. Read the case study and answer the
questions below.

“Fair Wage”?

CHEHOMA Corporation has been operating for almost ten years

now. After five years of operation, it started borrowing money
from the bank yearly to keep its business going. Due to global
crisis and weakening of the Philippine Economy, the company
failed to pay its debt to the bank. And because of this
situation, the bank will have no choice but to take over the
company. Consequently, the company was forced to act on it. It
decided to cut down its expenses by having a mass lay-off of
its employees in order to cope with the demands of the banks.
But certain groups of employees opposed the ideas so they
initiated a dialogue with the management. They said that they
prefer a salary below minimum wage rather than to lose their
jobs especially those times. However , the management told
them that this is against the law and that the company might
face criminal offence. Still the employees continued to plead
until the company gave in. As a consequence, they told the
employees that they would have to sign a document stating that
they actually received the right wage. It is to appear that
the company is paying the right amount of wage to the
employee.

1.What does the company violation among employees?

- when the company will payed their employee with low minimum
wage. And signing them with a contract.

2.Is the decisions of the company morally correct? Discuss

your answer, Why or why not?

- for me that is not morally correct. I know that decision

making is one of the hardest part when dealing a problem
especially in operating a business. The company should not act
like that, the management should come up a better solution not
solving the problem with another problem. The management
should boost their employees to be more productive and to
create new innovative marketing strategy in order to gain more
profits.

3.The employees insisted on what was legally wrong. Is this

action morally justified?

- that is morally unjustified. That decision made the

employees worried. The argument was not right because both
idea are against the law.
