Reactions of copper lab

Purpose:
I transformed the copper metal into several different chemical forms in this laboratory,
including being liquid and fully blue, and turning it back into a solid green material. By
following the instructions, I was able to produce this and leave it overnight to observe
the outcomes, then transform the substance into various forms that produced green
copper as an end product.

Questions-

1. Cu (s) + 4 HNO3 (aq) -> Cu (NO3)2 (aq)

  + 2NO2 (g)
 + 2H2O (1)
Cu(NO3)2  (aq) + 2NaOH (aq) -> Cu(OH)2  (s) + 2NaNO3 (aq)
Cu(OH)2  (s) ->CuO (s) + 3H2O (1)
CuO (s) + HCI (g) -> CuCI2 (aq) + H2O (1)
3CuCI2 (aq) + 2AI (s) -> 3Cu (s) + 2AICI3 (s)

2. During this lab, the copper went through a number of modifications. I

began with a lot more copper from the lab than we ended up with. At the
end of the lab, the mass of carbon it resulting in was a different amount
than it began with since the reactions reduced it. The end result of this
laboratory showed that during the process it must have decreased at
some stage. This has to be attributed to the reactions that the copper went
through during the laboratory.

3. I studied the reactions in this experiment and found that the copper had
changed its shape, but not the amount of copper found in the reaction. We
can see that the same volume of copper remained in place by calculating
the mass at the beginning and the end of the lab.

4. A recycled product will be much more costly than the same raw material
product because the more products you return to the shape it was initially.
You will have to purchase the other products, just like gloves. if you were
to return all the products to a condition where you could never be able to
use them again.
Conclusion-
I successfully modified the shape of the copper metal in this laboratory. I found a lot of
changes when I transformed the metal copper into its various reaction phases, including
a black solid, a light blue liquid, and a green solid. I started out with more copper from
the laboratory than we ended up with.
