Euphoria TV-Show Review

This is a spoiler-free review on the 2019 HBO TV drama 'Euphoria' directed by Sam
Levison and others. This show perfectly depicts the harmful acts of drugs, pedophilia,
depression, and sexual activity. It is well played out by my favorite actress Zendaya who narrates
and plays Rue, who is the main character.

Euphoria introduces many different types of people and their struggles on how they get
through in life. A diverse mix of personalities in this show would lead to different situations
depending on who the character is. Some of these introduced topics can be relatable, which could
be the whole purpose of this show because these are the things that many people deal with in real
life. I can relate to many things that happen in this show based on the characters' stories.

Rue (Zendaya) suffers from childhood trauma that leads her to make bad decisions and
become a seventeen drug addict. Throughout the season, Rue has been trying to stay sober off
drugs but then reconnects with them. Her mom Leslie (Nika King) and her sister Gia (Storm
Reid) try their best to help her stay away from drugs since she can't. Rue then meets a trans girl,
Jules (Hunter Schafer), who also deals with her problems. The two find out that they have a lot in
common and have a compatible friendship.

Throughout the show, these two friends, of course, have enemies and acquaintances that
are introduced. These are the main characters and their storylines. Lexi (Maude Apatow) is Rue's
childhood best friend and her aid for her drug use. Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) deals with being
criticized and sexualized by society. Nate (Jacob Elordi) has a hard time controlling his
sociopathic behavior. Maddy (Alexa Demi) lacks confidence and self-control around others, and
she is a two-faced character. Kat (Barbie Ferreria) finds herself worthy in a particular way. Then
we have Fez (Angus Cloud), Rue's drug dealer, and comforter for her drug use.

There is a lot of sad truth that goes on in this show. It is very realistic to watch and know
these things are severe and can affect you and the ones you love and cherish. It is the realization
of life and to find a purpose to fulfill this life you're living and to not take for granted.

Overall, I recommend this show to anyone who wants an insight into the dark realm of
our generation. The acting in this show is perfect if you want to know what's real. The characters
in this show that play out these real-life scenarios are taken from Sam Levison's actual life!
