SUMMARY OF EPISODE 1:

ALLAH LOVES PIETY The most frequent reference in the Qur'an to the love of
Allah is in relation to Taqwa, piety. In this episode, we explore what piety is and
️how to attain it. ️

UNDERSTANDING THE DIVINE: To understand the link between piety and the
love of Allah, an important concept about "understanding the divine" needs to be
️cleared out first. ️Every action in life, must be carried out with you consciously
being aware of the fact that: ◾Allah created you not to hate you, but to love you.
◾Allah created you not to fail, but to succeed. ◾Allah created you not to go to
Hell but to go to Paradise. ◾He gave you everything that you need to attain His
reward. ◾He gave you all of the essentials that are needed to maintain His
️pleasure. However,
️ it’s our decision to remain steadfast in not doing anything to
compromise His love for us. That is the real test in life, and that is what should
determine the autonomy of  our actions in our lives.

️MEANING OF PIETY: HOW TO "FEAR" ALLAH WHEN YOU ARE ACTUALLY

SUPPOSED TO LOVE HIM?️️Ibn Al Qayyim once said: when you fear something
else you run away from it. But when you fear Allah, you run back to Him. ◾
Meaning: Fearing Allah, should not be the fear that causes you to flee from Him.
It should be the fear that causes you to flee back to Him; because you "fear"
loosing out on His love. That is also how you are supposed to merge fear and love
together at the same time, ️which will lead you to Taqwa. ️

HOW TO PRACTICE TAQWA?️️Omar ibn Abd Al Azeez (RA) said that: "Taqwa is
not that you pray long into the night or that you fast long into the day, but it’s
that which you abandoned that is displeasing to Allah." ◾ Meaning: Taqwa means
that you treat the world as a very thorny path and just like you would protect
your clothes and yourself from the thorny bushes, you tread carefully in this
duniya with every move, trying to protect yourself from the thorns of sin as
much as possible.

️HOW TO SHOW ALLAH THAT YOU WANT TO BE LOVED BY HIM? Are you
demonstrating with your deeds in a translatable way that you don’t want to do
️anything that’s going to compromise His pleasure? ️Imam al-Ghazali once said:
"The greatest consequence of sin is not the punishment that comes with it but it’s
the distance that it causes between you and Allah." ◾ Meaning: If we express a
desire to be loved by Allah, we must therefore demonstrate with our deeds by
doing whatever is beloved to Allah, and show caution against doing all the things
that could potentially compromise out on that. ◾ For example: ◽When you stop
yourself just in time from saying something that will displease All
