In 1952 Marcia leased mauve acre from Alonzo for ninety 99 years. On August 1, 1952 Marcus leased the
property to Barrington Systems for 60 years at $4,000 each year, so long as Barrington Systems operated
business on the property. If Barrington Systems ended it’s operation on mauve acre the term would
terminate automatically. In that case, mauve acre will revert to Marcia.

On February 14, 1970 Barington Systems ceased operation on mauve acre. Frederick Milton, the
Barrington Systems CEO, moved his personal belongings to mauve acre and remained there until his
death on February 20, 1982. Milton rarely left the property. He made brief daily visits to a neighboring
fruit stand and doggie park. Milton had no family.
