Responsibilities

 Assign welding Supervisors, Foreman’s & Charge Hands as per production requirements.
Control welding production & Quality .
 Control welding equipments & Welders quantity against project.
 Requirements Reviewing customer drawings / specifications for material and welding
requirements to determine the necessary WPS / PQR required to assure the integrity of the
weldment.
 Select the electrode / consumables and estimate quantities required for project.
 Source materials required for WPS / PQR’s.
 Determine Joint Design.
 Optimize Welding Process.
 Applying code and specification requirements to the proposed WPS.
 Supervising welding procedures and welder qualifications through execution of the welding
plan.
 Supervising PQR’s on site and witness tests at laboratory.
 Preparing welding procedure specification.
 Reviewing welder qualification tests and approving documentation.
 Assesses quantity of production weld testing required and ensures their timely performance
and testing.
 Consults with the customer’s engineers and production supervisor on metallurgical and
welding problems to determine or implement .resolution.
 Assisting in development of automatic welding systems and new methodology.
