APPOINTMENT

You are appointed as the ……………………………………………… at DE SPACE


LOUNGE as from ……/….../ 2021. The work includes general Supervision of all
departments including Human resource activities, marketing but with emphasis to food and
beverage management. Your job description may include but not least to the following:

You are responsible for managing Food and Beverage operations which includes, Bar,
Restaurant, Kitchen and All events. You will direct other departments as instructed by the
Manager.

……………………………………………………. Your main duties are divided in spot
checking of all Heads of Departments to ensure standards, Maintain a high level of Hygiene
to all the areas and surroundings, authorizing all leave schedules for staffs and ensuring
control of expenditures as well as budgets set. Attends weekly executive and sales meetings
as well as the Manager Directors briefings with all heads of Departments.

You are required to have clear, concise, written and verbal communication skills at disposal,
as well as strong organizational, excellent time management skills and technical skills.

You will be counter checked by the General Manager at time to time. In that, you are
required to present daily work plan report to the GM.

HOURS OF WORK

Working Days. Your working days are from a Monday to a Sunday with one day off (6 days
a week).

Hours of Work. Your working week consists of 96 hours with a maximum of 12 regular
hours a day excluding 1hour meal interval.

Meal Interval. If you work for more than five (5) hours a day you are entitled to a one (1)
hour meal interval, breakfast from 8am-9am, launch from 12:30pm-1:30pm and dinner from
6: 30 pm-7: 30 pm.
Public Holidays. You will be required to work on a public holiday.

Sundays. You will be required to work on a Sunday.

Overtime. On busy days, you will be required to work overtime


A maximum of 25 hours overtime a week may be worked and not more than 5 hours a day.

WAGES AS FROM -……/……./2021

Basic Wage. Your basic wage will be ……………………USD . Your annual increase will
be in accordance with the DE SPACE LOUNGE hospitality sector’s minimum wage
schedule.

Method of payment. You will be paid in cash on the last working day of the month.

Public Holiday Wage. Your wage on a public holiday will be determined by Board of
Directors managements .
Pay Increase. You will get an annual pay increase on …../…./ 2021.

Deductions from Wages:


 Compulsory Deduction. 5% of your basic wage will be deducted for Goss
 Other Deductions. Deductions may be made for damage to or loss of
equipment, goods purchased, fees paid for hospital or medical treatment and
loans made. Not more than 25% of basic wage may be deducted.

LEAVE

Annual Leave. You will be entitled to twenty-one (21) consecutive days leave on full pay,
between the moths of May and August, in respect of each twelve (12) months of
employment. No leave will be granted between the months of September and April. Your
salary while on leave will be paid at the end of your leave period.
Sick Leave. You will be entitled to 36 days fully paid sick leave in every 36 months. If you
are absent from work for more than two (2) days or more than two (2) occasions during an
eight (8) week period and cannot produce a valid medical certificate, you will not be paid for
these days. During the first 6 months of work the employee is entitled to 1 day sick leave for
every 26 days worked.

Family Responsibility Leave. You are entitled to three (3) days paid leave during each
twelve (12) months of employment for:
 illness of your child,
 In event of death of your partner, parents, grandparents or child.
 These days may be deducted from your annual or sick leave

TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT

Your contract of employment may be terminated only on written notice of not less than:
* one week if employed for 6 months or less
 two (2) weeks if employed for 6 months but not more than one year and
 Four (4) weeks when employed for more than 1 year.

Written notice must be given either by you or by your employer.

Payments on Termination. Payments on termination of service will be made according to


Basic Conditions of South Sudanese Labour law.

Certificate of Service. A certificate of service will be given on termination of service.

TRANSPORT

You will be responsible for your own transport between your place of residence and De
Space Lounge .

FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION


You are entitled and requested to sign for your breakfast , lunch and Dinner .
Accommodation and food received as your privilege

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS


You will at all times, while on duty, abide to the De Space Lounge rules as laid down, from
time to time, by the employer.

Confidential Information. You may not make known any confidential, financial or business
information to any person or institution without the permission of the owners of the De Space
Lounge

Monitoring. The owners of the Business of De Space Lounge may monitor all e-mail
messages sent or received, internet use and telephone calls made during working hours on
hotel equipment’s and at the owner’s costs.
