Claim: Students from low-income bracket cannot cope with the requirements of the New Normal Blended

Learning

Without a doubt, it is impossible for students from low-income bracket to cope with the requirements
of the New Normal Blended Learning mainly because of the fact that even before the start of the pandemic
their families were already struggling financially. So what makes people think that those students are
somehow capable of coping with the requirements needed in order to receive education during the
pandemic? According to the data provided by World Bank, 70 percent of the population of the Philippines is
comprised of low-income households. People in these low-income households struggle day by day to make
ends meet. Most times even, they encounter days where they don’t have enough food to eat, clean water to
drink and a stable roof over their heads.
