GROUP ASSIGNMENT / PROJECT GUIDELINES – 10 MARKS

Please find the details of the group project:

1. Choose an industry / sector you want to analyze (from the following list)
2. Select any 3 companies from that industry / sectors
3. Give brief analysis of the industry
4. Give brief description of these companies like History, Mission and Vision, Name of
Chairman & Managing Director, Products, CSR practices, Corporate Governance
practices etc.
5. Calculate the following ratios
a. Current Ratio
b. Quick Ratio
c. Operating Cycle
d. Cash Cycle
e. ROA
f. ROCE
g. ROE
h. Asset Turnover Ratio
i. Debt-Equity Ratio
j. Interest Coverage Ratio
k. Gross Margin / Gross Profit Ratio
l. EBITDA Margin
m. Operating Profit Ratio
n. Net Margin / Net Profit Ratio
o. Earnings Per Share
p. Price/Earnings Ratio
6. Any other ratio, which you feel important like PEG ratio, EV/EBIT, EV/EBITDA,
Cashflow ratios, Du pont analysis etc.
7. Also do the comparative analysis of all the 3 companies of your sector and comment on
the solvency, liquidity and profitability position.
8. Submit the report in word or pdf format through email on or before January 23, 2021.
