The decline of the free supply of Poultry for the homeless

September 04, 2020

Edward Picker,

Human Resource Manager First-Class Restaurant

217 Galote,

Santa Barbara.

Dear Edward,

I write to decline the offer to supply the firm's chickens to your upcoming initiative to

feed the homeless in town. It has been an excellent opportunity to work with First-Class

Restaurant for the longest period possible. Our co-operation has proven beneficial for both of our

firm's growth and achievement of goals. Years of understanding have sparred the need to

participate in Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives that benefit society. This year my firm

has experienced significant losses due to the fowlpox that rampaged various poultry firms in the

town. Fowlpox is a viral disease that spreads languidly. Hence, it is difficult to notice during the

first days of infection. This situation increases the chances of spreading the infection. The illness

not only placed our birds in danger but also the workforce. Therefore, the cost that dawned on

the firm included treating all employees in contact with the birds. The illness cost us a total of

twenty chickens and more, which are still recovering. Hence, the firm incurred extra costs of

treatment and prevention, which reduced our profit significantly. The organization esteems its

partnership with you highly, but at the moment, the cost is weighing heavily on our financial

statements.

Avian Poultry Limited is dedicated to the health and safety of all its customers and

dealers. At the core of the company's policy are integrity, honesty, and credibility. It is in line

with these factors that the firm temporarily ceased its supply to First-Class Restaurant for a

while. This initiative aimed to reduce infection and continue the excellent relationship that it has

with your firm. Furthermore, advice from experts influenced our action towards upholding the

best hygiene and protection of the market. The firm has decided to temporarily suspend all its

activities until the malady is under control. During this period, experts will survey our premises

and treat the birds accordingly. Additionally, we will carry out several hygiene precautions to

ensure the roots of the virus are uprooted. Our workforce will undergo thorough training on the

hygiene of Poultry and the prevention measures to undertake. Avian Poultry Limited has

incurred unexpected costs that will impact its operations significantly.

We regret to have to miss out on such an excellent opportunity to feed the homeless in

town. The reputation of First-Class Restaurant proceeds itself both in quality services and

community activities. Out partnership in promoting the welfare of the city has been incredibly

fruitful over the years. Avian Poultry has been at the forefront of lending a hand whenever the

need arose. We value the satisfaction of our customers and the community at large. We would

have happily contributed towards that initiative, as has been the culture of Avian Poultry

Limited. However, this year due to unanticipated circumstances, the firm is not able to provide

its products for the initiative. We hope that things will soon take up normalcy and our supply will

begin flowing smoothly. Upon resumption, Avian Poultry will continue its continuous supply of

quality products to First-Class Restaurant. For more information, kindly contact me via phone on

1-541-754-3010. The firm is always ready to provide information on any inquiry that our

customers may have concerning our operations. Thank you.

Yours sincerely

T.H
