Core Subject Description: Reading and Writing is one of the two English subjects in the core curriculum of K to 12 Senior High School. It is highly considered as a
communication tool that requires students to demonstrate critical thinking and organizing skills towards effective communication. It necessitates the development
of the macro skills but gives emphasis on reading and writing. It exposes students to a wide range of interdisciplinary materials through process approach.

Culminating Performance Standard: The learner produces each type of academic writing and professional correspondence following the properties of well written
texts and process approach to writing.

Performance Task: PROJECT PROPOSAL

GOAL: Your task as an SK Chairman is to convince your barangay captain and officials to agree with your proposed solution for the current situation of education and
remote learning of the students in your community. You must present an original project proposal prepared by your group.

ROLE: Suppose you are an SK Chairman of your barangay and you are the one who will propose the project.

AUDIENCE: Persuade your Barangay Chairman and other officials to implement your proposed solution for the current situation of education and remote learning of
the students in your community.
SITUATION: Your SK Group has noticed the problem in the delivery of education in your community. Due to the current pandemic, the learning situation of your
barangay is not doing well. There is no internet connection available and the parents were having a hard time teaching their children through modules. Your group was
deeply burdened and you all agreed to create a solution to this problem. You have to persuade your barangay chairman and other officials to choose your proposed
solution. Explain to them how the worsening situation can affect the students and the parents and convince them to use your method.

PRODUCT: Create a project proposal. It can be done using traditional Manner and using multimedia, make sure both will have the same content. Your project proposals
need to contain the following:
1. Features of a project proposal;
2. Explain how the worsening situation on the delivery of learning in your barangay affect both the students and their parents;
3. Explanation of how this problem can affect your barangay and your community;
4. Explanation why your solution is the best solution to this problem;
5. Detailed description and explanation of the step by step process of your project proposal.
