9. ANIMATING NEONS

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xARLlTgGuUI&t=01h04m09s
------------------------------------------------------

To animate 1 neon:

1. Go to Step 4 - Module Construct and select the Module # you want to work with.

2. On the layer ’Neon Controller’, add a keyframe to the ‘Simple Neon Animator’
where you wish the neon to turn on.

3. Go back one frame with the Current Time Indicator, and set the ‘Simple Neon
Animator’ to 0. Your Neon will now turn on on the next frame.

To animate multiple neons:

1. Go into the folder ‘Step 4 - Module Construct’ > ‘Module X’ > ‘Module X Custom
Elements’ and enable visibility of the ‘A’ layer.

2. Mask over the area you wish to isolate using the Pen Tool to create a mask. The
areas remaining red will be the isolated elements.

3. Animate the main neon element on using the previous 3 steps.

4. To turn the isolated area OFF, on the ‘Neon Controller layer, set the value of
‘Animator A’ to 0.

5. Set a keyframe 1 frame before you wish the isolated element to be enabled on the
‘Animator A’ stopwatch icon.

6. Go forward 1 frame, and set the value of the ‘Animator A’ to 100. Your isolated
element will not animate on independently from the ‘Simple Neon Animator’.
