INTRODUCTION

The Illuminati has been a great mystery to people for a long period of time. Most facts about the
Illuminati have been kept a secret from the public eye, but there is some information about the Illuminati
that we have been able to figure out. People have been able to figure out when the Illuminati was first
formed, the original creator of the Illuminati, and the values and intentions of this group.
FORMATION OF THE ILLUMINATI

• The Illuminati was formed in Bavaria by a

professor named Adam Weishaupt
• It was formed on May 1, 1776
• He disapproved of the power that the
conservative Catholic Church had, and instead
wanted a new form of "illumination"; a set of
ideas and practices that could be applied to
radically change the way European states were
run
MEMBERS

• Adam Weishaupt wanted to recruit some of the richest and most influential people in Europe into his
group
• The Illuminati never recruited anyone over 30 because they were seen as untrustworthy and too set in
their ways
• Also, all of the members were men and there were no Jews because the Illuminati didn’t like Jewish
customs

• All of the members in this group communicated in

• The Illuminati was very prosperous until 1787, when
Karl Theodor of Bavaria got rid of the organization
• Karl Theodore said that anyone who became a member
of the Illuminati would be sentenced to death, and he
banned all meetings of similar organizations
• The symbol of the Illuminati is the all seeing eye
GOALS OF THE ILLUMINATI

• People during the 18th century believed the Illuminati was at work to cause the moral and
spiritual collapse of the nation by unleashing ideas of atheism, enlightenment, and
revolution
• The Bavarian Illuminati that existed in the 18th century was believed to value money and
power over morals and religion, and one of their many goals was rumored to be causing
chaos throughout the world and eventually taking control over the government
THE ILLUMINATI TODAY

• Although we know the Illuminati existed during the 18th century, it is

a big debate whether or not this secret society is still present in
today´s world
• Some people think that many actors and singers who are famous
today have reached their fame through the Illuminati and by selling
their souls to the devil
• People think that the Illuminati still holds similar values as it did long
ago in Bavaria. They believe the Illuminati is willing to do anything to
obtain wealth and power, and they think the Illuminati may even try
to control us and take over the world
CONCLUSION

Whether or not the Illuminati still exists today, we know for a fact that it existed long ago. The
Illuminati kept the majority of its information a secret from the public eye, but we are aware of when this
secret society was formed, who started it, and some of the values and beliefs that this organization
thought was important. The Bavarian Illuminati was never able to reach their main goals, but maybe there
is an Illuminati, or similar group, that exists today with similar goals and intentions.
