 The teacher will connect students to learning and refresh prior knowledge by giving them

3-5 minutes to brainstorm and write everything they know about facts and opinions.

 The students will share and discuss answers

 The teacher will define the terms and check for student understanding.
A fact is a statement that can be proven true or false. An opinion is an expression of a person's

feelings that cannot be confirmed. Opinions can be based on facts or emotions, and sometimes

they are meant to mislead others deliberately.

 The teacher will ask students to each write an example of a fact and an opinion.

 The students will write their response in the In-call Message area of the video conference

 The teacher will share the screen for the entire class to view.

 Both teacher and student will review these examples and clear misconception if

necessary.
