To Whom It May Concern,
| am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Jill Boyle for an elementary teaching
position. Jill is an outstanding educator in which | have had the opportunity to firsthand observe
her natural and exceptional teaching qualities. Jill recently completed her student teaching
placement in the Kindergarten classroom setting during the fall of 2020. As challenging as it
was to open the doors for our youngest learners in the midst of a pandemic (in-person and
remote learning), vill looked beyond the barriers (i.e., social distancing, technology, modified
priority standards for teaching and learning) while persevering and inspiring both students and
staff, Throughout this time, Jill consistently demonstrated a passion for teaching students,
ambition for growing professionally as a fledgling educator, and a commitment to failing forward
while remaining positive
For children who are just beginning their journey in education at the elementary level, vill
co-created a student-centered classroom environment where active learning took place and
student ownership was facilitated. By being child-centered, she is sensitive to the needs of the
students and focuses on making a positive difference in their lives. Through delivering
instruction that reflects best practices and multi-sensory approaches, vill was able to implement
rigorous instructional activities that fostered student engagement while truly differentiating the
instructional tasks for all Jearners. She was eager to apply her leaming and continuously
searched for new and unique ways to present lessons that were engaging and resulted in
student learning outcomes,
What sets Jil apart from others are her actions to student learning. Her communication with
students is clear and student friendly. She consistently monitors student learning through
questioning techniques that resemble natural conversations. Her ability to provide feedback to
students is respectful and promotes self-reflection. The culture and climate of the classroom
she fosters is socially and emotionally positive and built on a growth mindset through risk-taking.
| feel confident that Jill will be an effective and influential educator in your school. She works
collaboratively and professionally with all members of a school community. She is committed to
doing what is best for students and I highly recommend her without reservation. | would be
more than happy to discuss Jill's outstanding qualifications and professionalism further (w
