Cardiac Assessment

Based on the reading done in this article there are important aspect or essential practice

that a health provided should obtain. These essential knowledges have been the foundation of

health providers in determining problem onto patient. These practices have been used for ages

and were proven to be more effective than other technology now days. There are several topics

covered in this article; first is gathering thorough health history, secondly different types of

cardiac problem, and finally importance of thorough physical assessment.

Health history had been one of the references in providing care to patient in many ages.

Knowing family history and health history is vital because it enable health provider/nurses to

construct the necessary care for every patient. Cardiac problem was identified as classifications;

there are several cardiac problems that may occur in a patient. Each cardiac problem was

determined by the signs occur on patient. Finally, the main focus of this article is to know the

importance of thorough physical assessment. Physical assessment is vital in giving care to

patient. The importance of thorough and scrutinizing physical assessment in determining what

problem occurs on a patient is crucial because it could potentially endanger the health of the

patient or could give the wrong diagnosis.

This article has important role for nurses in understanding the most common cardiac

symptoms experienced by patient. The article discussed some aspect such as comprehensive

physical assessment and some problem persists on patient with cardiac problem. Knowing how

to evaluate potential problem will enable health practitioner to effectively provide care.
