Artistic Intention
I want to spread awareness about mental well being with this artwork. The artwork shows the emotions I
go through as a human being in current times(COVID-19). The six emotions I expressed in the artwork
are happy, gratitude, serenity, depression, anxiety, and fear. I want to tell audiences that all of these
emotions I feel are totally normal, even if they are positive or negative and everyone feels them too. In the
artwork you can also see the colors are mixed together. That shows how complicated my emotions can get
and how it is difficult for me to talk about my emotions because sometimes I don’t even know how to
describe it in words. You can’t always be positive or negative all the time you need balance in life. When
these emotions get too severe please seek help. Don’t let it eat you up in the inside and rot the grass
around your grave. I also want people to learn to self love and self care of because it’s you are very
important. By taking personalized steps at a time to live a life you desire. You can cry, laugh, fall, and rise
in the process. But don’t forget to become a better you than yesterday solely for yourself.

*I didn’t give it a title because I don’t even know how to describe my emotions in words so not having a
title fits my intention.*
Reflection
I have learned so many new things in this unit. For my artwork I choose color to express
my emotions. In order to express it accurately I had to research about color psychology.
Through that I even learned about law of vibration and kirlian photography. Additionally, I
chose to use Adobe Photoshop as the medium of my artwork. I barely use Photoshop, and
the last time I used it, not counting this artwork was to open and save a file to jpeg for my
mom. I got to learn how the tools and functions work on Photoshop through your videos
and the internet. And let me tell you, I can literally do so many things although it’s
complicated. Also with Photoshop I finish my artwork so quick now comparing to physical
art. For the next step I want to learn more about it so I can do more with Photoshop.
