pedagogy includes: classroom
discussions, case studies, interactive presentations, guest lectures, expert sessions, seminars,
conferences, and case law methods coupled with intensive practical training through moot courts.
It is worthy to note that GLS Law College, in its 5th year of establishment has successfully ventured in all
possible educational arenas by organizing International Conferences, National Moot Court Competitions,
National Sports Fest, various seminars at National and International level. It has now become the
epicenter where knowledge liberates; ideas are conceptualized and shaped into existence.
INTEGRATED B.A. LL.B Programme

The integrated B.A.LL.B programme at GLS Law College offers a 5 years (10 Semester) curriculum.
The college is affiliated to Gujarat University and the course is recognized and approved by the Bar
Council of India. The minimum eligibility to get enrolled under this curriculum is clearance of 12th
grade exam regardless of the stream selected. The college offers 120 seats accommodating 60
seats per division.

• To assimilate the broader aspects of legal and inter-disciplinary skills

CAMPUS AND INFRASTRUCTURE
The college campus is spread over 8 acres land. The campus has well-equipped classes, computer
laboratory, Moot Court Hall, Sports Ground and Auditorium.

Moot Court Exercises

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
GLS Law College, organized An International Conference
on “Green Justice: Contemporary Challenges of
Environment & Sustainable Development” on February, 29
and March 1, 2020. With global warming reaching at an
alarming stage, the theme of the conference focused on
protecting the “Magna Matar” through thought provoking
special lectures, plenary sessions and paper presentations
under a number of tracks and sub-tracks.
The conference witnessed participations from more than
14 countries and 11 states. There were over 192 number of
papers presented under various technical sessions.

The inauguration of the conference endorsed the


presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel
– Chairperson, NGT, India and Mr. Satya S. Tripathi,
UN Assistant Secretary-General and Head of New
York Office, UNEP.
The resource speakers for the plenary sessions
were distinguished and professors of illustrious
colleges and famed environmental lawyers.
The valedictory function of the conference endorsed
the presence of one man enviro-legal brigade

NATIONAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION
Commemorating the centennial birth anniversary of Shri Indravadan Maneklal Nanavati – a legal stalwart. GLS
Law College like every year organized Shri I.M. Nanavati Memorial National Moot Court Competition from
January 17th to 19th, 2020. 32 teams from 15 states of India comprising of 96 budding lawyers from various
National Law Universities and eminent law colleges had participated in this competition.
The preliminary and quarter final round were judged by Guests: Hon'ble Mr. Justice A. G. Uraizee, Judge, High
Court of Gujarat and Hon'ble Mr. Justice V. M. Pancholi, Judge, High Court of Gujarat. This indeed presented a
golden opportunity for budding lawyers across India to present themselves and get guided by such eminent
personalities before the beginning of their professional careers.
INTERNSHIP
Law is a profession wherein certain skills are required and it is through internships that the skills taught in class
get polished. While interning, the students will be able to apply the practical aspect of the theories learnt into the
professional setting under the guidance and supervision of both a professional staff member and a college faculty
advisor.

Objectives of Internship Programme


• To provide students with the necessary information for developing their careers and for defining professional
strategies in future.

• To analyze problems involving legal issues, principles and rules.


• To enhance proficiency in demonstrating legal terminology and learning of a particular area of law.

PLACEMENT
The mutual trustful relationship between the faculty and students is what strengthens the placement cell. The
committee aims at ensuring a transparent, trustworthy and accountable liaison between the prospective
recruiters and the students. The committee thrives to cater to the best by understanding the needs of the students
as well as the market.
The policies made and the decisions taken are done on the basis of varied interests of the students, their academic
performances, achievements, constraints of time, market volatility and similar other factors.
The committee being aware of the expectations of the recruiters hones the students to maximize the potential of
each individual of the batch.

NATIONAL SPORTS FEST

Titanium Jural Fest


Titanium Jural is conferred as one of the biggest national sports fest
with college speculating 28 teams participating in it. GLS Law College
hosted the sports fest from 17th to 28th October, 2019. Titanium Jural is
the upshot of an immensely dedicated and conscientious team working
together for the success of this mega event.
The magnificent event was inaugurated by the presence of Mr. Parthiv
Patel, Cricketer and Mr. Geet Sethi, Billiard Player.
The Titanium Jural Sports fest provided the young and dynamic students
with the opportunities to show case their flair in areas apart from
academics. It also provided players the platform to exhibit the
sportsman spirit among the many other traits.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Legal Aid Clinic
Legal Aid Clinic is a student initiative activity orchestrated to provide legal aid, advice and
legal literacy to every citizen. It aims at providing equal and reasonable access to justice.

Environmental Law Clinic


Environmental Law Clinic was orchestrated to provide a platform to reach out to people and
spread awareness related to protecting the “Mother Nature”

Academic
Rhishika Srivastva (Student of third year) received Principal M.D. Pancholi Gold medal at the 68th Annual
Convocation of Gujarat University for securing highest Marks in Jurisprudence in the academic year 2019- 20
Devanshi Desai (Student of second year) received a gold medal for her outstanding academic performance
at the 68th Gujarat University.
Aaditya Dave, Monarch Pandya and Kirtan Patel secured the winning trophy in the National Moot court
Competition hosted by Dr. Ambedkar College, Nagpur
Shekhar Khandelwal (VIII), Shaisha Dhawan (VI) and Sambodhi Batnagar (VIII) bagged the 2nd Runners Up
Trophy and a cash prize of Rs 7000 at A National Moot Court Competition organised by Shankaroa Chavan
Law College, Pune
Yash Gupta, Namrata Dalal and Mohsin Shaikh secured the winning trophy in State Level Trial Advocacy
Moot Court Competition organised by Institute of Law, Parul University, Vadodara.
Mohsin Shaikh, bagged the Best Advocate Trophy at the State Level Trial Advocacy Moot Court Competition
organised by Institute of Law, Parul University, Vadodara.

Secured the position of 2nd runner up in Cricket at Vijay Sports Fest, organised by Karnavati University -
February, 2020
Bagged Fair Play award at Junoon Sport's Fest organised by IISM Mumbai - January, 2020
First Runner up in Basketball at Intra College Competition organised by Gujarat University - September, 2019.
Cultural
Nandini Hirani (Semester 4), Pooja Brahmbhatt (Semester 2) secured position in first phase of National
Level Debate Competition, 'Swabhiman'.
Nandini Hirani (Semester 4) got selected individually for working on a national project of POSCO Act, as a
part of selection on the oratory skills. The debate team will represent the college and state at Delhi in the
month of May for the final phase of Debate Competition.
Sabodhi Bhatnagar (Semester 7), Ananya Nair (Semester 5), Pooja Brahmbhatt (Semester 1) bagged first
prize in debate at Vishleshan – The National Level Management Event.
Shyam Naik (Semester 9) secured first position in Group Discussion at Vishleshan – The National Level
Management Event.
Helly Panchal (Semester 3) secured first position for book review at Vishleshan – The National Level
Management Event.
Kavya Jhawar (Semester 7) and Arpit Katariya (Semester 7) secured third position in spin the yard event at
Vishleshan – The National Level Management Event.

Community Succour
Fun Day Celebration at GLS Law College was clubbed with generous donation by students and faculty
members to spread happiness amongst the deprived section of the society.
Human Rights Day celebration was marked by making short film on Gandhian Ideology and a special
lecture of Mr. Ved Prakash Gautam, UNICEF and Ms. Mittal Patel, Secretary, Vicharta Samuday Samarthan
Manch. The lecture focused on Child Protection.
