 Canine Good Citizen titles earned
The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and The Canine
Good Citizen Advanced (CGCA) tests were held on
February 27th at the club building. Passing the CGC
were Stephanie cwith Clover, Tess Raleigh with
Bowser, Tammy Hawkins with Isis, Kim Morley with
Keeper, and Amaya Smith with Cash and Zeppelin.
Passing the CGCA test were Tess Raleigh with
Bowser, Tammy Hawkins with Isis, Kim Morley
with Keeper, John Daniel with Ruckus, Darlene
Young with Lily Pad, and Amaya Smith with Cash
and Zeppelin.
The Canine Good Citizen Urban (CGCU) test was
held at Quincy University’s North Campus on
February 28th. Passing were Ann Behrens with Allie,
Tess Raleigh with Bowser, Tammy Hawkins with
Isis, Kim Morley with Keeper, John Daniel with
Ruckus, Lynn Fleming with Elle, Myron McCord
with Phoenix, and Amaya Smith with Cash and
Zeppelin.
Congratulations to all those with newly minted
titles. Thanks are due to the evaluators, Ann Behrens
and Linda Snider, and all those who helped.

Attached to the newsletter email is a flyer
for a pet clothing drive. Organized by Stacey
Nicholas, a pet clothing drive will be held, with
materials collected to go to the Northeast
Missouri Humane Society. A collection box will
be placed in the club building, as well as other
sites. Members are encouraged to post the flyer
on their Facebook pages to encourage donations.
Carolyn Williams’ Xena earned her second leg
in open standard agility on 1/30, then completed
the open Standard agility title last Saturday,
scoring 100. She also earned a qualifying score
on her first leg in Excellent on Sunday.
Jackie Wyandt’s Spirit passed the VHM
(virtual home manners) test.
Darlene Young’s Lily Pad earned the AKC
Intermediate Rally title.
Process developing
for potential trainers
Plans are underway to create a process for interest-
ed club members to become trainers at the Quincy
Kennel Club. Candidates will complete an applica-
tion. Accepted candidates will be referred to a
mentorship program. Appointment as a trainer will
be up to the judgement of the Head Trainer, Mary
Price. The application is in the final stages of review.
Committees have been revised and a new commit-
tee assignment sheet distributed. A few committees
were lumped in order to reduce the total number of
committees and to reduce redundancy.
The club now has a Move It, which allows us to
move the A-frame around with relative ease. Already,
the diversity of agility courses has been enjoyed by
the students.
Newer students may be unaware of the very useful
web site LabTestedOnline.com. It allows you to see
upcoming agility trials and, with a small annual fee,
to enter trials with the saved data about your
