Studying and learning various concepts and theories in Financial Markets has widen my
knowledge of the whereabouts in the finance and business world. I was drawn to a new set of
ideas of the “make or break” card in the market. The specific concept that really changed my
perspective as a future accounting professional is the notion of Foreign Exchange Markets. I
was fascinated of its role in facilitating cross-border trade, investment, and financial
transactions. I now understand the factors that provides the mechanism of foreign exchange
market for the purchasing power of a currency and on how it determines the status of our
economy. Working under the finance and accounting workplace is challenging for it takes a lot
of patience, courage and ethical decision-making to keep everything in place and in a strategical
manner. Trading is a game of probabilities and it takes every successful trader knows that a risk
of that probability is a 50/50 upshot of a profit or loss. As a future accounting professional, I
want to have that drive and principle on how to work, analyze and manipulate numbers, data
and historical volatility levels to calculate and manage risks. This concept upgraded my mindset
about success and wealth because it opened my eyes that in my future profession, success
should always come with action and with that action, means completing an objective and
reaching for a specific goal. True meaning wealth and success is that if you comply with this
profession with the same of amount of honesty and integrity in which it highlights the true
meaning on why I wanted this profession in the first place. As we all know, “wealth” is
distinguished by abundance of money and material possessions, but after all my learnings with
this concept and in this subject, I now view wealth as a three-aspect goal— financial security,
living with purpose and a healthy mind and spirit. Before, my perception of wealth and success
is pretty shallow but now just like my future clients, I want to protect, grow and enjoy my
capital with different proportions. As to my view about life, it is a constant Ferris wheel wherein
sometimes you’re up and sometimes you’re down. Analyzing and studying finances and data is
just like figuring out yourself and taking up life risks to see whether how you can handle a
specific endeavor that may come your way.
