ABSTRACT

Red ocean strategy developed by Prof. Michel Porter supports to compete in

existing market space, beat the competition, exploit existing demand, make the
value/cost trade-off, align the whole system of a company's activities with its
strategic choice of differentiation or low cost. By using recently developed
business model analysis framework by our group called ABCD analysis
framework, in this paper, we have analysed the red ocean strategy which is also
called competitive strategy. Based on four constructs Advantages, Benefits,
Constraints and Disadvantages, of this system consider all determinant issues in
key areas through analyzing the constructs ABCD of these issues and
identifying the critical constituent elements. The result supported the logic of
using ABCD analyzing technique in any System performance evaluation.

Keywords : ABCD analysis framework, Red ocean strategy, Factors affecting

red ocean strategy, Determinant issues of red ocean strategy, Critical constituent
elements of red ocean strategy.
