That when the architects submit the DP to the council, the engineer will submit the Drainage Layout and MASMA report to DID directly, with a copy of the DP. The DID can then proceed to check and comment without having.to wait for the Councils to forward them the copy of the DP; 5.3. If DID finds that the MASMA report submitted by the engineer does not fulfil the requirement, then DID can write direct to the engineer to request for compliance, \wihout having fo go through the Gounets; 5.4, That architects will amend to comply as per advice of the MASMA engineer accordingly: and 5.5. Only after the MASMA requirement is compiled in the DP; then DID will recommend for approval to the Councils. 6. Itis our believe that by allowing the engineer to submit direct to DID, the process of approval can be expedited with the minimum loss of time. We thank you for your attention on the matter. Few cases where summary sheets contradict with the report (eg. Different catchment value in summary sheet and in detail report) INCOMPLETE MSMA DRAINAGE PLAN ~ Consultants do not provide the complete MSMA drainage plan. Example: no details plan for detention pond / drain, etc. TOPOGRAPHY PLAN = Consultants do not provide overall topography plan, thus impossible to determine the size of the catchment, - With the absent of topography plan, pre-development flows of the catchment cannot be determine. ~ Few cases occur where in post-development flows, consultants do not provide enough info / details for the final discharge point. (eg. Only stated in the drawing “discharge to the nearest government drain / roadside drain” etc) LOCALITY PLAN - Consultant do not provide latest locality plan. Issues like zoning / land use occurs, drain / road reserve encroachment, etc. DESIGN PARAMETERS 5 Bias Fe spatt deg tobe wl abel . ~ Parameters given in drainage report sometimes questionable. Example: Pervious area, impervious area, overland flow length, slope, etc. Few cases happen where the consultant never visited the proposed development site ‘when DID personnel ask more info about the surrounding area. The consultants design. solely based on the survey plan provided by the surveyors. Consultants late to response when asked by DID personnel for additional info. Some cases where the drainage plan pending for more than 1 month.
