Atomic Absorption Spectrometer

Atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) determines the presence of metals in liquid samples. Metals
include Fe, Cu, Al, Pb, Ca, Zn, Cd and many
more. It also measures the concentrations of
metals in the samples. Typical concentrations
range in the low mg/L range.

In their elemental form, metals will absorb

ultraviolet light when they are excited by heat.
Each metal has a characteristic wavelength that
will be absorbed. The AAS instrument looks for
a particular metal by focusing a beam of uv light
at a specific wavelength through a flame and
into a detector. The sample of interest is aspirated into the flame. If that metal is present in the
sample, it will absorb some of the light, thus reducing its intensity. These instruments measure the
change in intensity. A computer data system converts the change in intensity into an absorbance.

Carbon and Sulphur Analyzer (Infrared)

QT-CS-3000G is a highly advanced infrared carbon and
Sulphur analyzer which is equipped with two sets of sample
pre-treatment units, the two treatment units are, resistance
furnace and the high frequency induction furnace which
share the same infrared detection system for analyzing the
percentage of Sulphur and Carbon in combustion gases.

QT-CSA-3000G facilitates the detection of carbon and

Sulphur in a wide range of specimens, such as steel, cast
iron, alloy, metal ore, ceramics, cement, lime, rubber, coal,
coke, refractory, carbide, graphite, oil, catalyst, soil and
other solid materials. The option to select and switch
between two furnaces makes it a very versatile instrument
and therefore can be used to analyze the Carbon and Sulphur contents of a wide range of materials
with high precision.

QT-CSA-3000G standard configuration is equipped with three separate infrared absorption cells
housed in three physical channels, two carbon channels and one sulfur channel, same can be
configured with four independent infrared absorption cells with four physical channels, two for
carbon detection and two for sulfur detection based on application and sample material under
consideration.
