ABSTRACT
Ganić, A., Memišević, E., Gajić, A., Kahrić, A., & Jonjić, I. (2015). Revision of the
checklist of sea cucumbers (Echinodermata: Holothuroidea) of the aquatorium of
Bosnia and Herzegovina. Althoug some groups of echinoderms have been studied, so far
there is absolute lack of data regarding the diveristy of sea cucumbers in the aquatorium of
Bosnia and Herzegovina. Researches of sea cocumbers in the marine part of Bosnia and
Hercegovina was conducted from February to December 2015. through project „Biodiversity
of Neum bay“ by Sharklab Adria. This paper present first check-list of present species, as
well as the possible and expected species that inhabit the rest of the Eastern Adriatic sea.
Futher studies are necessary in order to understand the population ecology and diversity of
studied group within the Neum bay.

DISKUSIJA
Slika 1-2: Vrsta Holothuria tubulosa, Gmelin, 1791 na tipskom staništu, zajedno sa periskom,
Pinna nobilis L., i ježincem, Arbacia lixula (L.) (lijevo, foto: D. Mulalić), i vrsta Leptopentacta
elongata Düben i Koren, 1846 tokom laboratorijskih studija (desno, foto: A. Kahrić).
ukupno sedam vrsta: Holothuria tubulosa Gmelin, 1791, Holothuria sanctori Delle Chiaje,
1823, Holothuria mammata Grube, 1840, Holothuria polii Delle Chiaje, 1824, Holothuria
forskali Delle Chiaje, 1823, Holothuria helleri Marenzeller von, 1877 i Leptopentacta elongata
Düben i Koren, 1846, svrstanih u dva roda, dvije porodice i jedan red u okviru pripadajuće
klase. Neophodno je pokrenuti niz istraživanja, primarno ekoloških, koja će ukazati na stvarni
diverzitet, potvrditi očekivane navode i ukazati na stanje populacija pojedinih vrsta.

SUMMARY
Sea cucumbers, together with other echinoderms, probably present most spread
animal species within the aquatorium of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Despite, the fauna of the
sea cucumbers have never been inventoried and systematics studies of mentioned group
have never been conducted. This paper revealed the first insight in the diversity of the sea
cucumbers with total number of seven recorded species and eight possible species. Futher
