Who Am I?: DIRECTIONS: Follow The Directions To Complete ALL Parts A, B and C! Part A
As we begin our school year together, it is helpful for me to begin to get to know my
students during the first two weeks. This sheet will serve as a snapshot of who you are
as an eighth grade student as you begin your school year. In June, we can revisit this,
and you will most likely be surprised by how much you have changed in a little less
than a year!
1. If you could grow up to be anything you wanted, what would you choose? Why?
A scientist or Engineer.
3. What word or phrase would your friends and/or family use to describe you? Provide
an example from your life that supports you having this trait.
4. What is a personal or academic goal you would like to accomplish this year? How
will you be able to accomplish your goal?
An academic goal for me is gettin an A at Math.
PART B: For each of the following categories, list 1-3 things in the “Your
Answers” column. You do NOT need to write in complete sentences.

3. What are THREE objects that are important to you (not technology related-
Example: baby pictures)?
4. Who is someone you look up to? Why do you look up to them? (Can be someone
you know or someone you have not met).
5. Would you rather be able to talk to animals or control the weather? Why?
6. If you had a theme song that played while you walked down the street, what
would your theme song be? Why?
7. What are two things about you that are important for me or your classmates to
know?
8. State a quote that you think describes your personality.
9. As you enter your 8th grade year, what are you most looking forward to? Is there
anything you are nervous about?
10. Besides academics, what is something you enjoy participating in? This can be an
activity in or out of school: hobby or sports, clubs, etc.
